It’s better to let go of the bitterness…

You have to choose one flavor that your sense of taste will no longer be able to distinguish. Sweet, sour, bitter, salty, umami, spicy (not a taste per se, but we’re generous): which one do you choose to lose?

Wow! This is tough because I love food and love to eat, so much! It is always my legacy to experiment on different delicacies. It will be a great punishment if this addiction stopped or compromised. But just for fun, if I have to choose, it’s okay to lose the bitter flavor. Bitter gourd is the reason. Don’t get me wrong here. Bitter gourd is nutritious and an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. It’s just that I cannot tolerate the taste of it. But I found a way of getting rid of its bitterness when cooking.

What about coffee? Coffee is my favorite drink! It completes my morning. It is okay if I can’t savor the bitterness because coffee has an inviting aroma. The smell of the caffeinated brew is already enticing and satisfying so even if the bitter taste is gone, I will still enjoy my coffee break. And I like my coffee, sweet and creamy anyway.
